Jeb grew up in Fort Worth and began to feel called to a career in ministry when he was thirteen years old. He graduated from Baylor University and received his seminary degree from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary near Raleigh, NC. He served as youth pastor for churches in Texas and North Carolina for twenty years before being called as the pastor of FBC Elm Mott in 2017. Jeb is also involved with Tri-Cities Ministries, where he currently serves on the Board of Directors.

Jeb and Beth married in 1997, and Beth is a professor in the History Department at Baylor.

They have two children. Stephen is a student at Baylor University and Elena is in 8th grade.

Jeb enjoys camping and hiking, especially in desert landscapes like New Mexico and Big Bend National Park. Jeb is also an avid sci-fi fan. If you’re not sure of the difference between Star Wars and Star Trek, you’ll need to set-up an appointment with him immediately!

Sarah Becker moved to the Waco area in 2017 to be closer to family. She joined the team at First Baptist in 2020. Sarah holds a Masters degree in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College as well as a Masters of Divinity from Northern Seminary. She loves hanging out with her niece and nephews, listening to audiobooks, and doing arts and crafts. She hopes to someday live in a real castle. But only if it has indoor plumbing.

Myles Herren grew up in Pensacola, FL, and got his bachelor's degree in Academic Theology at the University of Mobile. Myles was the leader of a ministry team that met with teenagers in a Juvenile Hall in Mobile, AL, where he felt God calling him toward that branch of the ministry.

Since then, Myles got married in the summer of 2021 to Holly Herren and started his first year of Truett Seminary online while they still resided in Mobile, AL. During that time, Myles worked as a youth pastor at Lafitte Baptist Church in Mobile.

Myles moved to Waco in August 2022 and is studying to become a chaplain in the military. 

Some interests and hobbies include a huge love and appreciation for film, Star Wars (Star Wars figure collecting), Marvel, playing the drums, paddle boarding, going to the gym, and spending quality time with his wife.

Niall McCright is the current Music Minister at First Baptist Church Elm Mott. He and his wife Grace came to Elm Mott in August 2020 and joined the church family shortly after. Niall has lived in Texas for 20 years, most of it in his hometown of The Colony. He graduated from East Texas Baptist University in May 2020 with a Bachelor of Music: Music in Worship Ministry degree. At ETBU, Niall led multiple premiere worship bands that led congregations in worship all over east Texas from small intimate settings to 800+ venues. Niall is an active music composer and is excited to bring the music he has written and arranged to FBC Elm Mott. He recently composed and recorded a series of psalm-centered songs that are designed to create unified corporate worship. With the talents and abilities that God has given him, Niall has dedicated his life to creating art that is used to express the gospel and led the children of God in excellent, intentional worship. Niall and Grace live in Waco as Grace pursues a Master’s Degree in English. Both of them are so thankful for the blessing it is to be joined with a congregation that loves people as much as it loves Christ.

Katherine Becker has lived in West Virginia, Texas, and Illinois, where she received a B.A. from Wheaton College. She joined the staff at FBC Elm Mott in August 2023. Pretty much all the media she currently enjoys watching comes with subtitles, and she loves playing card and board games with family, friends, and anyone who can be persuaded to play.
